Camp Information
Mini-Camp: (Completed
grade 2) This
half-week is a great opportunity for campers to
get a "taste" of camp and a chance for parents to
get used to their children being away from home. It's
a half-week full of fun activities: making crafts,
playing games, singing camp songs and learning
Bible stories through interactive Bible studies.
Villagers: (Completed
grades 3-4) There's never a dull moment at Fortune Lake
for our Villager campers! With
opportunities for swimming, boating, making
crafts, playing games, hiking and singing around
the campfire, campers are entertained from morning
'til night. A week as a Villager will help your
child grow in faith, build friendships, gain
confidence and learn independence. They'll
come home with a deeper understanding of who they
are and how they fit into the world.
Vagabonds: (Completed
grades 5-6) Sleeping
all week in a giant tent and making many of their
own meals over an open fire, our Vagabond campers
get to experience camp the way it was meant to be
– in the great outdoors! Although
more rustic than staying in a cabin, Vagabond
campers still don't have to rough it entirely! Our
Vagabond campsite has a bathhouse with hot water
and toilets. Each
tent has a platform floor, beds and
mattresses. Our Vagabond program teaches valuable
social and survival skills and helps campers gain
self-esteem and independence. A
highlight for our Vagabond campers is a river
tubing trip (weather permitting).
Vanguards:
(Completed grades 5-6)
This is an opportunity for those who have
completed grades 5 and 6, who don't want to spend
the week in
tents, to stay in the Village cabins.
Venturers:
(Completed grades 7-8) Living
in duplex units with adjoining lounge, these
campers expand on social and personal skills. Venturers
begin to appreciate the real depth of the Bible
Camp experience as they deepen existing
friendships, discover new friends, and nurture the
seeds of personal faith.
Given
more opportunities to choose camp activities they
particularly enjoy, basketball and volleyball
courts and the Canteen are favorite gathering
places. The
overnight camp-out and ropes course provide
valuable experiences for positive adolescent
development.
Veterans:
(Completed grades 9-12) Many
Veteran campers come to Fortune Lake because it's a place of grace
they've known since early childhood. Other
Veteran campers come because someone has told them
that it will be the best week of their life! Whether
you've been coming to
Fortune
Lake for years or you've
never attended before, there's a place for YOU
during Veteran week! With
opportunities for adventure, deep Bible studies
and powerful worship experiences each day, a week
as a Veteran at
Fortune Lake just might change your life!
Victory: (for
mentally/physically challenged adults) This
program empowers adults with special needs and
gives them an experience of a lifetime! Activities
are adapted to meet individual needs, small cabin
groups allow staff to provide all the individual
attention necessary; trained healthcare staff
manage medications. (Those
requiring 24-hour caregivers must be accompanied
by caregivers). Many
campers sign up for a week at the beginning of the
summer and again at the end.
Women & Kids: Single
women, moms, and grandmothers enjoy relief from
daily meal preparation, clean-up tasks, and
constant childcare. Because
caring counselors assist with the kids, the women
have more time for themselves, each other, and
God! Guest
speakers, workshops, and late-night saunas refresh
the body, mind, and soul! Click
here for Women & Kids Camp Registration.
L.Y.L.E. I:
(Lutheran Youth Leader-ship Experience; completed
grade 10) This unique two-week program is designed
for high school students who seek to develop
Christ-centered leadership skills. Week one, LYLE
campers receive group dynamics and other
intentional leadership training; week two, they
apply what they have learned in service to the
camping community. Click
here for a complete description. Click
here for LYLE Camp Application.
Family: This
is a great opportunity for safe and relaxed
Christian family living! The program blends
activities designed to encourage family
togetherness and uplift Christian family values. Click

Mabel's Labels
Our sticky labels and clothing labels, which are dishwasher, microwave and laundry safe, are not only practical, but also designed to be very special to each child. The labels are customized with a child's name, favorite mix of colors and an icon (animal, symbol, etc.). Make sure your child brings everything they brought to camp back home with them. Purchase labels with your child name and a cute "logo" for them and put them on everything they own! Purchase the labels at Mabel's Labels and support our fundraiser at the same time. FLLC earns 15-20% of labels purchased.
