- A Synod Sponsored event for
adults who work with youth in your congregation’s Confirmation program.
Emphasis on team-building skills, teaching techniques, prayer, fellowship
and fun. Cost for this weekend is $45. Saturday only- $25
September 13: Golf Outing

- This golf outing— Scramble
will take place at the Oak Crest Golf Course in Norway, MI. Cost for this
event is $60 which includes 18 holes, cart, luncheon and prizes. *To

September 17-19: Women’s Fall
Retreat and W-ELCA Convention

Supper-Sunday Lunch
- Come and be with other women
for a spiritual weekend retreat. We’ll have bible study, songs and
worship; we’ll light the sauna and have a bonfire at night. "The
Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want" is the theme for the retreat.

September 29 - Fall Work Bee 9
a.m.—5 p.m.
- Bring your talents and tools
with you to Fortune Lake and help with special projects around the camp.
Please register at least 2 weeks in advance, and let us know if you are
coming to help with general labor, or if you have skills in a particular
area. **Free Food Provided**

Skill-Building Workshop Saturday: 9 a.m. — 3 p.m.
- A workshop for ringers and
directors, to jumpstart your fall program. Read new repertoire– practice
ringing skills. Network with ringers and directors. Contact Janet Van

with old friends and make new ones! A chance for worship, games, and just
hangin’ out at camp. Special Guest Musician Jonathan Rundman
(jonathanrundman.com) will lead music for this exciting event! Cost for
meals, lodging and programming is $85.

renowned singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist (6 and 12 string

Family Getaway and Slumber Party
An Event for families and children of all
ages
Friday beginning at 6 p.m. — Saturday at 3 p.m.
- Come join with other
families on this ―Advent Adventure!‖ We’ll celebrate the
season of Advent and prepare for the birth of Jesus with Bible Study,
crafts, singing, campfires and lots of fun. Price for Adults-$45, Youth
over 12- $38, Youth under 12- $35. Maximum cost per family = $150.

LJ Booth. Guitarist LJ Booth has been a traveler— playing clubs (from
Boston to Austin) and festivals (including Falcon Ridge, Edmonton,
Kerrville, Telluride and the Rocky Mountain Folk Fest)— building a stage

February 25-27: Basket Weaving
Retreat
Friday: 7 p.m.— Sunday at 1 p.m.
- Come to Fortune Lake prepared
to take home a finished basket. Lucy will teach you how to make this
basket, which is a garden basket but could also be used as an Easter
basket. We will have a weekend full of fellowship, singing and weaving. We
will close on Sunday with a worship. Call the office for details and watch
for a detailed flyer later on.

March 4-5: Church Council Retreat
Friday: 4 p.m. — Saturday at 2 p.m.
- Church Council Retreats are a
great way to develop a solid ―Team‖ unit between Church
council and pastors. Fortune Lake and the Northern Great Lakes Synod have
partnered up to help your council grow together and learn valuable
resource tools. Cost for food, lodging, program is $50 per person
March 4-5: Junior High Youth
Gathering
Friday: 6:30 p.m. — Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
- We’re havin’ a party! Come
celebrate Mardi Gras at this Junior High Youth Gathering just before
Ash Wednesday. Great music, fun speakers, interesting Bible studies. Come
find out how Mardi Gras came into existence, and how it can make the
pre-Lenten season in your church and home a fun and meaningful time! Cost

the only scheduled event each day as well as any meals you choose attend.
